HVAC Services in Inwood from Owner Carlos Cano
Carlos Cano founded Cano Heating & Cooling to deliver HVAC contractor work directly in Inwood and the surrounding Nassau County neighborhoods. Based at 29 Oak Ave, Inwood, NY 11096, the operation stays rooted in the community, responding to the humid subtropical conditions where mild winters shift into warm, humid summers that increase strain on both heating and cooling equipment in local homes.
The team regularly works on properties near Inwood Park and the JFK Airport vicinity, where older housing stock and exposure to salt air from the coast require careful attention to ductwork, system placement, and corrosion protection. Service calls also extend into nearby Lawrence and Cedarhurst, where the same climate patterns and terrain affect how units perform year-round.
Cano Heating & Cooling keeps hours Mon–Sat 24hrs so residents can reach an owner-operated crew without delay when systems break down during peak summer humidity or sudden winter temperature drops.
I grew up in Inwood and started Cano Heating & Cooling after working on systems in the older housing stock near Inwood Park and the JFK Airport vicinity. Serving Nassau County homes in Lawrence and Cedarhurst, the humid subtropical climate with mild winters and warm summers creates specific demands on heating and cooling equipment that I address directly from our base.

What Inwood, NY Customers Say
“The heat pump kept tripping the breaker every few hours once temperatures fell below freezing. The technician replaced the contactor and cleaned the outdoor coil. The unit now runs through the night without shutting down.”
“Our central air was blowing warm air in late June. They found a low refrigerant charge from a small leak at the service valve, sealed it, and recharged the system. The house cooled down within an hour and has stayed steady since.”
“The furnace blower ran nonstop but produced little heat on the second floor. They replaced the dirty air filter, adjusted the damper settings, and balanced the supply vents. Warm air now reaches every room evenly.”
